Will, Thank you for your thorough response. I understand that some people have face-blindness. What I'm saying is that people make assumptions based on race. And in this case, these people had never met my ex-girlfriend in person, so they didn't know what she looked like. So some of them made assumptions that she couldn't be there because she didn't "look" like she belonged there. Not because they mis-recognized her.
