Hi Ellie, Thank you for sharing your thoughts on my article. I don’t think my ex-girlfriend’s experience is necessarily representative of the Black experience. But it did open my eyes to issues that many Black people face.

As far as the Holocaust. I agree that it should not be a competition between the two. I’m also not saying that the Holocaust is less serious than slavery. I’m saying they are both atrocities. I’m Jewish and I lost relatives in the Holocaust.
